Yamaha Motor Insurance Australia is seeking an Underwriter for ongoing full-time role. 

The role involves the underwriting of Motorcycle and Marine watercraft vehicles.  This would suit someone who has worked in personal lines, or in a call center environment, who is looking for the next step in their career.

The successful applicant should be used to a fast-paced growing business with strong organisation skills and a well-developed customer service ethic.

As an Underwriter, you will be required to:

• Apply efficient, effective, and sound underwriting practises to new business, mid-term amendments and renewal management.
• Always provide professional and courteous customer service to all our internal and external customers.
• Focussed on achieving positive business outcomes and improving customer experience, looks at the big picture and is an advocate for change.
• Compliance with Privacy Act Laws and Regulations in Australia and New Zealand and any other Legislation as required.
• Ensure customer service is consistently provided at a high level.  Specifically providing timely service of quote request and ensuring the underwriting tasks are carried out in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Demonstrate good understanding of underwriting and risk selection.
• Effectively communicate with a diverse range of customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Insurance knowledge advantageous.
• Manage workloads and priorities.
