Wall and Floor Tiler

Tasks & responsibilities

As Wall and Floor Tiler in a commercial landscaping setting, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining tile surfaces for various outdoor commercial landscaping projects. You will be working closely with project managers, landscapers and other construction professionals to ensure high-quality tile installations that meet client specifications and project deadlines.

Your main tasks will involve:

1. Tile Installation - install ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other types of tiles on walls, floors and other surfaces according to design plans and specifications
2. Surface preparation - prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar to ensure proper tile adhesion
3. Cutting and shaping - cut and shape tiles using appropriate tools and equipment to fit around obstacles and create desired patterns
4. Grouting and sealing - apply grout between tiles and seal surfaces to protect against moisture penetration and ensure longevity
5. Quality control - inspect completed tile work to ensure it meets quality standards, specifications and client expectations
6. Repair and maintenance - perform repairs and maintenance on existing tile installations as needed, including replacing damaged tiles and re-grouting
7. Safety compliance - adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues
