Our client offers a complete range of printing and marketing support services. They have been established for over 50 years and employ 65+ staff. Their purpose built facilities just over the Westgate Bridge enables them to produce work for the most exacting and high profile clients within the retail, entertainment, finance, insurance, pharmaceutical, automotive, tourism and related industries.
A stimulating opportunity now exists to join the company in a role that will offer enormous challenge, diversity of activity and professional development. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your new role will include the review and continued development of this newly established, warehousing and distribution division. You will be required to liaise with both the sales & production teams to ensure client deadlines are met. Your success will be guaranteed by adopting an uncompromising attitude towards customer satisfaction.
Specifically, you will be required to competently perform the following duties:
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance of operations in the warehouse;- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilisation;- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures;- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislative requirements;- Control inventory levels by conducting counts, then reconciling with data storage systems;- Achieve financial objectives by supporting Logistics Manager in preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances;- Liaise with internal Managers, Account Managers, suppliers and transport companies. To secure this enviable role, you will possess the following attributes:
- Solid an relevant experience in a sophisticated warehousing environment; - Knowledge of inventory control software; - Strong organisational and planning skills; - Advanced Leadership skills; - Strong knowledge of safe work practices.
