Welder (First Class)

As we continue to expand, we are seeking experienced and qualified Welders to join our professional and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interpreting drawings, specifications, and welding procedures to determine job requirements and plan the sequence of welding operations
2. Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment
3. Welding and joining metal parts using electric arc, gas, TIG, MIG, or other welding techniques
4. Repairing and maintaining metal structures and equipment by welding broken parts and reinforcing weak sections
5. Examining welds for structural soundness and conformity to specifications using inspection tools and visual assessment
6. Operating various welding and fabrication machines such as grinders, cutters, and bending equipment
7. Selecting appropriate welding methods and equipment based on materials, thickness, and project specifications
8. Cleaning and preparing surfaces for welding and removing slag after welding
9. Applying safe work practices at all times, including proper use of PPE and compliance with workplace safety regulations
10. Collaborating with team members to ensure projects are completed to specifications and within timeframes

Skills & Experience

1. Must be a trade-qualified First Class Welder (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in welding and fabrication
3. Strong knowledge of welding procedures, techniques, and materials
4. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
5. Proficiency in using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
6. Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting deadlines
7. Must have own license and reliable transport
8. Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical check
