About the role

Ausdirect Hire is seeking a full-time Yard Hand to join our team in Hemmant, QLD 4174. As a Yard Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of our equipment hire business. This hands-on position involves a variety of tasks to maintain our equipment and yard, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving, checking, and storing incoming equipment and materials

• Performing basic maintenance and cleaning on a range of equipment

• Assisting with loading and unloading of equipment for customer deliveries

• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the yard and storage areas

• Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

• Supporting the wider team with various ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a similar labourer or yard hand role

• A strong focus on safety and attention to detail

• Good communication and customer service skills

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment

• A current driver's licence and the ability to operate small equipment and machinery (forklift licence preferred but not essential)
