Full Time - Data Centre Security Officer - Level 4 - Baseline / NV1 Clearance

About the role 

Our client is a global Technology & Cloud Infrastructure host in a Data Centre environment. We are looking for professional and high-performing security officers.

Successful applicants will play an important role in ensuring that clients' data integrity is maintained at all times. The security team will need to deliver this service in accordance with Securitas’ values – Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness. 

The primary functions being undertaken will be security screening to ensure only authorized equipment and person access and egress from our client’s facilities. 

We have three full-time roles available:

• Role 1 (Silverwater): Monday to Friday, 0700–1500 hrs | Baseline or NV1 clearance

• Role 2 (Silverwater): 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) | NV1 clearance required

• Role 3 (Alexandria): 4 on 4 off (day shifts only) | Baseline or NV1 clearance

The Security Officer will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Conduct security screening of all personnel entering and exiting a restricted area. 
• Ensure compliance with all Security Procedures & Policies 
• Identify prohibited items and prevent them from being introduced to or removed from a restricted area. 
• Issue and audit security visitor and contractor badges in line with security policies. 
• Raise and modify Access Requests using client software programs. 
• Escalate and report on incidents and provide daily activity reports in writing. 
• Patrol assigned areas and report issues to the regional control room. 

Skills and Experience

• Baseline / NV1 Clearance is mandatory!
• Australian Citizenship essential 
• Current NSW Security License
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate  
• Experience in Data Centre Security desirable.
• Excellent communication skills 
• Customer service experience desirable.
