Underground Diamond Driller

Boart Longyear is the world's leading provider of drilling services, drilling equipment, and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally. The company's Global Drilling Services division operates in over 40 countries with a diverse mining customer base spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals.

We are currently seeking experienced Underground Diamond Drillers in South Australia and Western Australia. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with a strong commitment to Health & Safety.

About the Role:

• 2/1 (WA) or 2/2 (SA) roster with rotating shifts

• Conducting drilling operations over a 12-hour shift

• Leading drill crews, including training of Driller Assistants 

• Daily pre-start equipment checks

• General maintenance

• Setting up drill pads and coordinating rig moves

• Completion of safety documentation and compliance with safe work practices

The successful candidate must possess:

• Previous underground Drilling experience essential

• Experience working with an LM or MDR rig is essential

• Current Drivers C License

• National Police Clearance, or ability to have one

• First Aid and CPR certificate (desirable)

• Certificate III in Drilling desirable, but not essential

• Physical ability to lift 30kgs repetitively in a labour-intensive role

• Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen

• Demonstrated personal commitment to safety

• Be a team player
