About The Role

Our underground coal mine is seeking 3 x experienced Underground Electricians to join our Narrabri Coal Operations. Our Longwall is fully automated and utilises some of the most advanced technology in Australia. We are a long life mine with approvals to operate until 2044.

These positions are offered as residential or DIDO. Relocation assistance can be provided to those looking to relocate to the area.

What You’ll Do

• Undertake and direct electrical maintenance activities on shift as needed
• Work collaboratively with your crew members, assisting where required and be a positive influence in high performance behaviour in the workplace
• Support site HSEC policy and procedures, following safe work procedures as set out for the work process
• Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects
• Completion of all necessary statutory equipment inspections in your panel.

What You’ll Bring

• NSW Electrical Trade Qualification or NSW issued Electrical License 
• Experience/ qualifications in Flameproof Protection Enclosures
• Experience/ qualifications in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Training (EEHA)
• Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon
• Previous experience working in underground mining
